Description: High reliability soldering, desoldering, circuitry repair, plated-thru-hole repairs, conformal coating removal, industry standards, electrostatic discharge (ESD) control, surface mount device (SMD) installation, removal and replacement using hand held systems or reflow workstations. Students will be able to Solder to industry standards; desolder connections; install surface mount devices; remove surface mount devices; remove conformal coatings; repair and/or replace traces, pads, and eyelets. Description: Fundamentals of DC circuits and AC circuits operation including Ohm's law, Kirchhoff's laws, networks, transformers, resonance, phasors, capacitive and inductive and circuit analysis techniques. Students will construct and analyze DC and AC circuits from simple to complex; perform test measurements; and utilize a multimeter and oscilloscope to differentiate between two AC signals with respect to voltage, current, and power.
